MEET OUR STAFF!
ONE YEAR OLD CLASS
Mary Mintz - Ms. Mary and her husband Rodney have a 5 year old son who attended St. Giles and a three year old daughter who is currently enrolled. She spent a year substitute teaching in the various classes and quickly realized how special St. Giles was. She started teaching in the one year old class in 2014 and has "loved every minute." She has always enjoyed working with children and "feels so lucky to have the great fortune of spending my time with the amazing kids, staff and families of St. Giles." In addition to teaching, Mary serves as one of the Parent Representatives on the St. Giles Preschool Board.
Susan Chasak - Ms. Susan married her husband, Jan, in 2005, and since then has moved to Munich, Germany twice through BMW. They have been back in Greenville for 3 years and have a 5 year old daughter, Elishka. Ms. Susan started at St. Giles as a sub. It was her daughter's third and final year and "I realized how much I would miss this wonderful place." As luck would have it, a position was available in her favorite room. She is excited to get to know the children and watch them grow.
TWO YEAR OLD CLASS
Shirley Terry - Ms. Shirley has been married to her husband Mike since 1996. She has no children but enjoys their farm. She was a nanny for a family that attended St. Giles Preschool from 2008-2012, and was asked to be a part of the St. Giles teaching family. "I had watched how well the teachers treated the children and how much the children were learning and knew I wanted to be part of that team. I am so happy to be a St. Giles teacher, it's the best job!!"
Jennifer Cross - Ms. Jennifer moved to Greenville in 2012 with her husband Shawn and their two children Benjamin (9) and Kathryne (7). They have a 1 year old dog named Georgia. She enjoys reading to the children and loves hearing their infectious giggles!
THREE YEAR OLD CLASSES
Heather Peck - Ms. Heather received her Bachelor of Science in Education in 1994. She taught first
grade in Oklahoma for 5 years. She has 3 children: Gracie age 16, Ben age 14 and Lily age 12 and they are the light of her life! She is so excited to be back in the classroom and cannot wait to start this wonderful opportunity and endeavor with the children.
Mandy Laney - Ms. Mandy has been married to her husband for 10 years and they have 3 sons. She graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature with a minor in Art Studio. Two of her sons attended St. Giles Preschool and she is "so excited to be part of such a wonderful staff and school."
Danielle Beckerle - Ms. Danielle is excited to be the three year old teacher at St. Giles Preschool. All three of her children attended St. Giles. Before coming to St. Giles she worked as a biomedical engineer and a biology and chemistry tutor. Ms. Danielle has completed her Master's in Science Education. She is looking forward to meeting all of the children and their families and carrying on the positive work of St. Giles in our community.
Amy Penny - Ms. Amy met her husband, Chris, at UNC Charlotte where she received her B.S. in Exercise Physiology and Athletic Training. They have 4 super active and athletic daughters. Three of her girls attended St. Giles. Ms. Amy has been working here, on and off, since her family moved to Greenville in 2002. She has always loved children and finds teaching to be such a rewarding job. When she is not attending sporting events, Amy volunteers at her church, coaches, likes to run and most of all stay active with her family.
FOUR YEAR OLD CLASSES
Ashley Frederick - Ms. Ashley graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1990 with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Child Psychology. After enjoying teaching in the public school system for 7 years, Ashley and her husband, Scott, moved to Honduras in 1997. They lived there for five years and moved back to Greenville in 2001. Ms. Ashley has been teaching at St. Giles since their return. As a mother of three, twins and a little girl, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family and, most of all, she enjoys what she does everyday.....teaching young children. "Teaching young children has been one of the luckiest blessings in my life, and I cannot think of a more important nor splendid undertaking than to help young children recognize just how important they are and just how much they are capable of.....it is simply what you do with your heart, as well as your mind, that makes the real difference in the classroom."

Tami Bradley - Ms. Tami has taught 2 years of middle school math in Charleston, SC and 6 years of high school math in Savannah, GA. The past 11 years she stayed home to raise her three sons, ages 13, 10, and 5 who are currently attending Woodland Elementary and Riverside Middle School. She is originally from Charleston and graduated from The College of Charleston in 1997. She has been married to her husband, Shawn, for 16 years. As a parent, and a teacher, she believes that it takes a village to raise a child and that it is important to evaluate and handle children's situations individually and not as a majority rule.
Tricia Greene - Ms. Tricia earned her Bachelor's Degree at Clemson University in Graphic Communications. She has 8 years of preschool experience and enjoyed her first year at St. Giles in 2013. She and her husband, Bob, have two children, Caroline and Ryan. Ms. Tricia loves circle time and singing with the children. Her favorite Bible verse is "Let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in Heaven - Matthew 5:16"
Kristy Cox - Ms. Kristy has worked at St. Giles for two years in the four year old class. She has a 4 year old at St. Giles and a second grader at Woodland Elementary who graduated from St. Giles in 2017. She enjoys going to Clemson football games in the Fall and going to the mountains with her husband, two sons and German Shepard, Bailey.

Deborah Stenzel - Ms. Debbie is originally from Pennsylvania and has been with St. Giles Preschool since January 2000. She began teaching in the two year old class and subsequently moved up to the threes and fours. In January 2005 Ms. Debbie took over the position of Director. Prior to coming to South Carolina her addresses included El Salvador, Texas and Georgia where her love of teaching preschoolers began. She truly believes that "it is not what you do for the children but what you have taught them to do for themselves that will make them successful human beings," and preschool is the first step in achieving this. Debbie and her husband, Robert, have two children, Jacob and Emily, and three grandchildren, Bobby, Patrick and Henry. Her favorite things to enjoy are reading, antiquing, gardening and, most of all, her grandchildren.
